'Buttons and Bottles' Etsy shop review and giveaway....

While messing around in my free time, (lol, yeah like I know the meaning of free time!! )
I came across yet another great Etsy shop that I think you will really like.
I love these great handmade cards and crafts.
I'm a sort of a sucker when it comes to holidays...all holidays (no matter how big or small)
It gives me an occasion to not only go shopping :)
...but I also get to make up little gift packages for my kiddos!!

Michelle is the owner of Buttons and Bottles. She has had her Etsy shop since August, 2010.
When I found out that Michelle was originally from my home state of Michigan
and had also lived in Arizona for awhile, like myself...I felt a sort of connection with her.
Michelle now lives in California. I'm sure she's enjoying
much better weather than we are her in Michigan :)
But enough of that...
Here is a picture of all the great items that Michelle sent me from her
Buttons and Bottles Etsy shop.
And I apologize if you feel the need to look at this sideways...
My photo editing program wasn't working with me tonight :(

These gift tags will be the perfect way to decorate the kids' packages this year!!

Surprised Little Witch Tag
Can you believe this handmade pumpkin??

Michelle not only sent me one, but she also sent me a sample of the 'wool fiber' that she uses to make these adorable things. She says, "I take the wool and a felting needle that has very small barbs on it and just shape it as I go until I end up with the item I want." Now...I know nothing about wool and felting needles and all that, but it sure doesn't sound the easiest. And, wow...I love the finished item, so obviously her hard work is well worth it :)

Now, I'd love to keep showing off her cute Halloween items, but I want to be sure that everyone realizes that she has way more to offer.

And now...It's...

Buttons and Bottles has so generously offered the lucky winner a gift basket worth $20 of  her items!!

'Words Anywhere' Review and Giveaway....(HAS ENDED)

I personally, am crazy for all these vinyl lettering phrases and decorations, even customized lettering for your walls that I have been seeing everywhere.
So when I got to actually pick one out for my own wall...I was thrilled to no end :)
It took me forever to choose, lol.
Words Anywhere has so many different options to choose from, and then just when you think you have your design narrowed down to one or two choices....you still have to choose the color of lettering AND the size!!
This option is wonderful.
I finally chose this one... And he printed up for me in the size he says is most requested :)

I'm disappointed to say that I haven't yet put it on my wall, because we are painting it this weekend!!
I've been wanting to paint the walls in the new house anyways...
And this gives me the perfect reason to JUST HAVE TO GO SHOPPING!!! *smiles and laughs*
Since these vinyl pictures aren't movable once you have placed it somewhere, I want the walls to be painted and looking great first.

Here are just a few of the many other items that Words Anywhere has to offer...

Look at these growth charts...wouldn't they just be the cutest thing for your child's bedroom??
Words Anywhere not only has a huge selection of pre-designed lettering and graphics, but you can also do custom orders and design your own!! Now that would be fun!!

And here is one of my favorite sayings...
(I would have gotten this one, but I already have so many things in my family room with
this quote on it, that I figured I'd better change things up a little!! )
Ben was so nice that he even offered a giveaway!!!
One of you lucky followers will win this....

Welcome...
Can you imagine how great this will look over your entry-way??

Mandatory Entry: "Like" Words Anywhere on facebook AND leave him a comment saying..

"The Least Among You" Movie Review

Directed by Mark Young

Starring:
Louis Gossett Jr.
Lauren  Holly
William DeVane
&
Cedric Sanders

This movie is based on and inspired by a true story.

I want to start off by telling you what the fine print of the movie cover says:
"Leaders are not chosen, they're called."

The beginning of the move finds Richard Kelly (played by Cedric Sanders) taking a bargain-plea to avoid prison. His sentence says he must go thru two semesters at an all-white seminary. The seminary's president, Alan Beckett (played William DeVane) doesn't know that Richard is on probation, he thinks that he is at the seminary because he wants to become a preacher. Mr. Beckett challenges Richard to break thru the racial divide. Richard meets up with the school's gardener, (played by Louis Gossit, Jr.) the only other man of color on the campus, and the gardener helps Richard to realize a lot of things. One of the most important things is that Richard decides to actually take the challenge, and tries to get a petition signed by 70 % of the students and faculty so that once passed, so many colored students and professors would be brought in to the seminary. This challenges is needless to say...not an easy one. Richard faces many set-backs and obstacles along the way. He seeks the help of a professor, Kate Allison (played by Lauren Holly) because she is a former missionary. But Kate isn't so sure she wants to go against the seminar's leaders....

Now without giving away the movie...I just want to mention a few main points that I personally
took away from this great movie.

-What's lost is lost, you can't replace it.
-Pain can also be treasure.
-First, you've got to surrender and then your faith will take you where you want or need to go.
-It's important to leave your footprints in God's garden.

I loved this movie, and think that there are alot of important lessons that can be learned by watching it. And even if you are just wanting to watch an inspiring and truly good movie, this is the perfect movie whether you sit down with your family or yourself...it's a great movie.

Note: This movie was provide to my by BookSneeze at no cost. I was not compensated financially or otherwise for my honest opinion of this movie, other than keeping the movie itself.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month...

In honor of Breast Cancer Awarenss Month, I took 'The Pledge.'
Check it out at Love/Avon Amy of Women
armyofwomen.org/thepledge

This month I will have many posts about Breast Cancer Awareness.
I also have many great giveaways for my followers :)
I have some great companies and websie reviews to share with all of you.
And...I have some great Etsy shops to feature :)

Today, I want to share some really great and informative sites with you.

Followers, I hope you will take the time to check these sites out, and support them if you can!!

Army of Women is a wonderful organization.  Take a minute to check out their page and look at the current studies that are going on, perhaps you or someone you love might qualify.

Fellow bloggers, I hope that you will also take "The Pledge" and pledge to blog about Breast Cancer Awareness this month. I am in total agreeance with one of their volunteers named Linda who says, "This 'extra step' will help ensure an era without breast cancer."  When you are done reading this post, please take an extra minute to scroll down to the bottom of my blog...there is a short video there to watch about breast cancer awareness featuring Susan Sarandn...or click here now to watch!!

National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. is on a "mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need." This site offers a "Pink Ribbon Challenge" which allows you to help a women who can't afford a mammagram get one anyways. This challenge, is icredibly easy...in fact, it consists of only two clicks of your mouse and you don't have to donate any money. PLEASE take the "Pink Ribbon Challenge" now.

(note...this is not their logo, it's just a pic I found!!)

Time For a Cure is another organization whose mission is "to show the world 'women can and do survive breast cancer', by promoting awareness, early detection and treatments, each and every minute of each and every day, all year long." They believe that awareness is one of the "keys to a cure and that early detection can be the answer to a cure."

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month or nbcam.org for short, is celebrating 25 years of awareness, education, and empowerment. Join them to gather great patient services and disease infomation.

And finally,
check out all the great and inexpensive items that The Breast Cancer Awareness store has to offer...
They have some great reusable shopping bags that are ever so cute that come in packs of 3 for only $6 and up!!
And...
They have the cutest 'live, laugh, love' ceramic tea cup!!!
I'd show you pics, but for some reason my PC isn't cooperating.

Luv to all!
xoxo
