Ziggles review & giveaway...
Ziggles is this great Etsy shop I came across.
Shannon is the owner. Here is a little about Shannon (in her words!!)
My name is Shannon Keyser. I'm a stay-at-home mom with 3 kids, Myra (6), Lexi (4) and Noah (2). I'm married to my best friend and we are enjoying life.
I've been on Etsy almost 4 years now, but Ziggles is still less than a year old. I opened up Cuddlebaby.etsy.com in 2007, selling baby blankets, which has now evolved into supplies and tutorials. Last summer, I came across the Scrabble Tile Pendants and thought it would be fun to try and figure out how to make them. It took me a long time to figure out what to use to make them and to perfect the process. I then opened up Ziggles and have had a lot of fun with it this past year.
Here are a few of her adorable pendants.
Aren't these great???
How about these??
She also sells keychains and chains.
Shannon has so generously agreed to a giveaway :)
I know that makes all of you smile.
One lucky winner will receive their choice
of pendant and chain.

"Don't Kiss Him Goodbye" Book Review
Don't Kiss Him Goodbye
by: Sandra Byrd
Savvy writes for her school newspaper, although her identity is a secret to the other students! Everyone else thinks she just delivers the paper and helps out here and there. In this book, Savvy finds out just how confusing the high school years can really be for a teenager. A strange boy asks for her help, and what she first envisions as harmlessly helping him, quickly turns into something a little more complicated. She finds herself attracted to this guy, and she thinks he is attracted to her as well. So what's the problem, right??? The 'don't kiss him' part of the title comes from a part in the book where the guy she's helping kisses her. No-one seen this kiss...her first kiss!!! But, she still feels bothered about it.
Another problem is that maybe he hasn't quite learned how to properly treat a young lady and Savvy needs to take a good look inside herself to see if this is Ok with her moral values or not . Savvy not only works for the newspaper, but she finds a great organization to help out and she tries everything she can to get an article about this organization in the paper. She wants to volunteer her time and efforts to help this organization succeed. You'll have to read the book to see what she decides to do with her emotions and how she decides to help the organization and what comes of both of these!!
Even though this was technically book #3 in the 'London Confidential' series, I had no problems reading it as a stand alone title. I didn't feel like I had missed anything or was confused on anything, Sandra did a wonderful job at makind this book perfect to read as part of the series or just by itself :)
This is truly a great YA fiction book, and I think everyone will enjoy it !! Not just young adults !!
Here are the first two books in the 'London Confidential' series.
If you haven't already, make sure you check them out too,
I certainly am going to :)
Book One Book Two
Now for my personal feelings on some of the topics in this book.
Sandra does an awesome job at letting teen girls (and females of all ages, really) that you never have to settle for something you aren't happy with. You don't have to put up with behavior that you don't like from your significant other. Now, I know this book wasn't about physical abuse at all, I still want to mention this.... If you have a boyfriend who isn't treating you right, puts you down mentally and emotionally or has ever hurt y ou physically....LEAVE HIM NOW, before it gets worse.
Before it's too late!! Believe me, I was in an abusive relationship and now suffer daily from a crushed tail-bone, and try really hard not to limp whenever I am around anyone in public.
It's no fun!! And I never want anyone else to have to go through what so many of us have needlessly suffered through again. We should have been smart enough to leave before it got that bad.
I love the fact that Sandra has Savvy find an organization that she is so interested in helping. The type of organization that she chose, helping single moms get nice interview and work clothes so they can get a good job that will help them to support their families on their own, is an ABSOLUTE WONDERFUL idea. I have seen many of these types of organizations in different cities. I urge anyone who has some extra business and/or dressy clothes appropriate for interviews and work to donate them to one of these types of organizations. You can't imagine how thankful the single mother who gets to wear them will be!! They will love being able to feel good about how they look going to an interview, knowing that they are dressed appropriately, dressed for the job they want!!!
