Aveeno Giveaway.....thru October 1, 2010
I don't know about you, but I LOVE to have soft skin. I was recently given the opportunity to try out a variety of different Aveeno products that a friend thought I would love. I was ecstatic. I love lotions of all kinds, scented and unscented (depending on what I'm doing or where I'm going...catch my drift???)
When my friend told me she had some Aveeno products for me to try, I was expecting to get a bottle of lotion or two to try out....but I was sadly gladly mistaken. I received a bunch of their Active Naturals products. Here is what I received *big smiles*
1- The Moisturizing Bar for dry skin. (My legs get so dry it's not even funny...I am constantly having to put on baby oil and lotions. Well I used this moisturizing bar every time I bathed and showered for a week and I can honestly say that I could already see a difference in my skin.
2- The Daily Moisturizing Lotion. This says it is clinically proven to relieve dry skin....and after using it, I definitely believe it. It is fragrance free, so really you could use this lotion first to moisturize, and then dab on a little of the scented kind of your choice just to add some 'spice to your life' if you were feeling up to it.
3- Skin Relief Body Wash that is for daily use in the shower. It is a very gentle cleanser and it also helps to relieve the itching that sometimes comes along with dry skin.
4- More Daily Moisturizer but this one with an SPF 30 for when you're going to be out in the sun!! (Now, since I have Lupus, I'm not really suppose to be in the sun…but small doses can't be avoided, so I always use some sort of sunscreen. I loved this sunscreen that was also a moisturizer...not oily like so many of the sunscreens on the market these days!!)
and last but certainly not least...
5- The new Nourish and Moisturize Shampoo and Conditioner. Both have nourishing wheat complex and oat protein (which I hear are suppose to be pretty good for making your hair soft!!) I love the shampoo, but not as much as I love the conditioner. See....I have long, straight and very thin hair!! It snarls at the slightest movement I make. I could brush and brush and brush my hair all day long, and then turn around, walk around the corner and have to brush it again...and still find small snarls. Some conditioners don't even allow me to brush thru my hair. Not this one!!! I brushed straight thru my hair the first time, every time for the whole week I tried it out. This will definitely be one of my "top conditioners" from now on. I change conditioners every three weeks or so...I once heard it's good for your hair, but who knows....lol.
