My Review...
I was thrilled to be contacted by LD Products to write a review for them.  Who doesn't have an interest in printer ink nowadays?  I have a laser printer and an inkjet printer - for this experiment I worked with the laser printer which is a Brother HL-2270DW.

So let's start with a price comparison - Since it is laser it needs a drum cartridge.  The drum cartridge at "a leading retailer" is $109.99 with a toner cartridge cost of $68.49 for a total of $178.48.  But by purchasing (although I did receive it for free in exchange for this honest review) through LD Products it would have cost a total of $38.99 for the drum and $25.99 for the toner for a total of $64.98.  That is quite a savings and I can think of many things I could be using those extra funds for.  A 64% Savings.

Their remanufactured ink produced results just as clear, precise and defined as the brand name cartridge I had been using.  I did not have to compromise anything in quality.  Although I have not been using it long enough to determine - I cannot imagine I would suffer at all in quantity also.

Although I did not receive ink for my Epson Inkjets I do want to run a comparison for the inkjet ink for you to see it in print also.  The Epson Workforce 545 has multiple cartridges in it.  To replace all of them through a "leading retailer" the total cost for three black cartridges and two of each color high yield (3 colors) would be $161.91 but through LD Products it would cost just $56.97.  A 65% Savings.

So if you are spending your hard earned cash on ink - fret no more.  You can save a considerable amount with LD Products.

LD Products is running a giveaway for:
-Roundtrip airfare for two (2) persons from any international airport in the contiguous United States to Honolulu International Airport

Book Tour and Review: For the Love of Big Orange by Leta Gail Doerr...

For the Love of Big Orange
Bluegrass Country Novella, Book One
Leta Gail Doerr

ASIN: B00BFLDZBE

Number of pages: 127
Word Count: 43,500

                   Book Description

They say you can never go home. Well, Lacie Joe Jensen never wanted to.

Lacie Joe left small town Kentucky for the big city lights and never looked back. Until now. Her ailing foster-father needs her, his memory is failing. But townsfolk remember all too well the troubles Lacie Joe caused as a youth, and they're not afraid to remind her.

Lacie Joe has a few allies in town, for starters, ex-boyfriend turned police officer Jay Hayworth. Jay's kept the fire burning for Lacie during her long absence. He's one of the bright spots in Lacie's troublesome past, him and her truck, Big Orange. A suspicious accident forced Lacie Joe to leave town, Jay steps in to remind Lacie she no longer has the right to remain silent.

My review

Lacie-Joe was abandoned as a child and then was transferred from foster home to foster home. As she grew older, she became quite the troubled and hard to handle teen and many of the transfers were due to things she'd actually done herself. When things really started looking bad and it looked as if she might not have any other options, Judge gave her one last chance at a foster home, and here she finally began to flourish.

Jay and Lacie were an item as teens. But when the unspeakable happens, Lacie takes off without a word to anyone and swears to herself that she will never return to the small town of Kentucky.

Now, all grown up, Lacie is nothing like the trouble-maker she was when she was younger. In fact, she in now a social worker who actually saves troubled teens. I like the irony that was played there! Suddenly Lacie gets word that her foster father, Judge is failing in health and asked to return and take care of him. As much as she has always promised herself that she'd never return, it's not even a question when she finds out that Judge needs her.

Right off the bat, when returning to Kentucky, she is put right smack back into the middle of what she left behind; her uncomfortable past and the unexplained and precipitated way she left. She is pulled over and is surprised when the cop who appears at the window is her ex, Jay! While he is telling her that his partner is back in the car running her information and that she has some unpaid traffic tickets to deal with, she is even more surprised when she glances at his wrist and sees that he is still wearing the bracelet that she gave his as a high school graduation present. I just thought this was such a sweet and romantic gesture for the author to add into the book.

Once back in town, Jay is determined to have her again. You can tell that she is still attracted to him and has feelings for him as well, but she knows that she wronged him and many others and feels so bad about it. She also has an overwhelming need to make it right with everyone, now that she is back.

Lacie and Jay both decide to try to forget and overcome the past, and make things work this second time around, but they have many  obstacles thrown in their way. It won't be easy, but as I like to tell my children, nothing worth it ever is!

I loved this story. The characters are so believable, the author deserves much praise for this feat. Lacie is such a strong and altruistic person that you can't help but love her.   This story brought me back to my own youth since I grew up on a farm, I loved that the setting of the story was on a horse farm.

I would definitely recommend this story to anyone who loves a good romance that has just the right amount of humor and suspense mixed into it.

Ode to Bloggers…

Thank you to 4 the Luv of Sanity for hosting me today. I’ve hit the virtual trails to promote For the Love of Big Orange and I couldn’t do it without bloggers like you.

With brick and mortar book stores becoming more and more extinct, it’s increasingly more important for anyone in the sales and marketing biz to have a social presence. Enter the bloggers…

Bloggers and readers who frequent blogs are virtually everywhere on the internet. Instead of the cozy setting of a coffee shop where authors might hang out and share a cup of joe while chatting about our work, you open your virtual doors and let us come right in and speak to audiences you have formed relationships with.

I’m just getting started with this aspect, but two things have been immediately clear. First, most bloggers are friendly individuals who enjoy a great read and sharing their experiences with others. And secondly, bloggers are just as busy as readers!

I appreciate the work it takes to read and review a book, create a blog post, post badges on a blog/websites, update sites with reviews like Amazon, Goodreads, etc. and share news about any giveaways.

In this ever changing world full of fast-paced media, authors need ways to be inventive and discover new ways to connect with readers. I’m truly thankful for bloggers and the role they play in the success of authors connecting their work with a potential audience. And for that, I am truly grateful.

Sneak Peek: Echo by Alicia Wright Brewster....

The countdown clock reads ten days until the end of the world. The citizens are organized. Everyone's been notified and assigned a duty. The problem is . . . no one knows for sure how it will end.

Energy-hungry Mages are the most likely culprit. They travel toward a single location from every corner of the continent. Fueled by the two suns, each Mage holds the power of an element: air, earth, fire, metal, water, or ether. They harness their powers to draw energy from the most readily available resource: humans.

Ashara has been assigned to the Ethereal task force, made up of human ether manipulators and directed by Loken, a young man with whom she has a complicated past. Loken and Ashara bond over a common goal: to stop the Mages from occupying their home and gaining more energy than they can contain. But soon, they begin to suspect that the future of the world may depend on Ashara's death.

SNEAK PEEK of ECHO...

A metal plate occupied the wall to the right of the door. Loken pressed his hand to it. The door slid away and disappeared into the left side of the doorway. Loken stepped through and down the stairs on the other side. His footsteps clanged against the metal steps as he descended.

Unlike in the overly bright training room on the other side of the building, dim lights filled this room with shadows. The team clustered at the bottom of the steps, blocking my view. As they shuffled slowly out of the way, I caught sight of what had stopped everyone else in their tracks.

A glass wall separated us from what looked like a large cell. The only entry point into the cell was another thick metal door with a security pad next to it. Behind the glass, three people stood as far away from one another as they could possibly get within the enclosed space: a hugely tall man, a woman with blond hair that hung past her waist, and a smaller man. All three were nude.

They looked human but . . . wrong somehow. Despite their lack of clothing, they made no effort to cover themselves. The larger man’s muscles bulged in odd places. While the woman wasn’t as massive, her body was more toned than any woman I’d ever met, more so than even Elder Ethereal.

From across the room, their black eyes cut through the darkness. A chill raced up and down my back like icy fingertips.

I stared at the smaller man. His eyes bore through me. I wondered if he saw me at all, or if he just happened to be looking where I was standing. At first glance, I’d thought him to be relatively slight. Although the other man dwarfed him, his thin arms were as tight as a predator’s, coiled to strike. The sharp planes of his face only emphasized the eerie black of his eyes, sunken into their sockets.

Loken’s voice startled me from the man’s hypnotic gaze. “In case you haven’t guessed it, these three are—”

“Mages,” I whispered.
