My review of 'Skillet Bacon Spread'......

Skillet Bacon Spread
AKA  'Bacon Jam'

http://www.skilletbaconjam.com/

When I first received this in the mail, I couldn't wait to try it. My whole family loves bacon!
We eat bacon in everything, on everything, and mostly just straight up, lightly cooked :)
I know it isn't exactly the healthiest way to eat, but I live the fat on bacon!!!!

My family and I have already used out whole jar of Bacon Jam :)
But then again, there are seven of us...and sometimes more!!!

Basically, I think you could use this Skillet Bacon Spread on or in any recipe that you
have and it would taste good. And I honestly, don't think that only because
of my obsession fondness for bacon :)
We tried it on burgers, like they show on their website....YUM!!!

We also made baked potatoes, complete with two cheeses, sour cream, green onions
and the 'bacon jam' mixed in!! Very tasty!!

My favorite recipe that we tried using the Skillet Bacon Spread, was the
'Warm Bacon Spinach Salad' or "Wilted Salad" if you are German....lol.
We took the bacon jam, the sugar, vinegar, water, and eggs and mixed them all up,
heated it to just the correct temperature to bring out all the flavors and then
we tossed it into the fresh spinach leaves.
We served this as a side dish at Thanksgiving this year
and everyone loved it :)

The last recipe that we tried, other than just putting it on burgers or crackers and suck,
was a wonderful recipe I found online for a Bacon Cheeseball quite awhile back.
When I got the 'Skillet Bacon Spread' in the mail, I figured this would be perfect
 to incorporate into this recipe.
And since it turned out so well, I want to share
the recipe with all of you....

What you will need:

1/2 cup precooked bacon, crumbled (OR)

in this case....I used 1/4 cup bacon and 2 tbsp bacon spread

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded pizza blend cheese

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped

  • 1/4 cup green pepper

  • 1 tbsp greek seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

 Crushed walnuts

Directions:

In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mixed well.

Form 1 or 2 balls out of the mixture.

Roll balls into the crushed walnuts.

Cover and refrigerate 3 to 4 hours, or overnight.

So, get yourself to their website and order yourself up some

Skillet Bacon Spread,

AKA 'bacon jam' so that you can spice up

ALL of you wonderful holiday recipes :)
