Wouldn't It Be Nice???

1. What's the nicest thing a complete stranger ever did for you?

One time when coming back from Massachusetts to Michigan for a Dr. appointment, we had been
having the worst luck. (car trouble and just about anything else you can think of, not to mention, I
was sicker than I have ever been in my life, or at least if felt like it!!) Well we had just crossed the Mich.
border  (Yes, finally!!!) and all of  sudden, a tire blows out on the Cadillac, and we don't have the special tire key that a Cadillac needs or some sort, and because of all the troubles we'd had, we were down to
$20 left, AND...we were running on an empty tank. Basically the $20 would give us enough money in
gas to make it home...but what about the tire??

All of a sudden, some man walks up and asks us, can I help you with something??
When we explain our situation, he says he had noticed our flat and he knows the owner of the tire shop
just down the road. Within minutes, he has a tow-truck towing our car to the shop and putting a brand
new tire on  the car. We tried to get his address to pay him back, but he wouldn't hear
of it!!!  What a nice man!!

And just real quick...another 100 miles into Michigan, the other back tire blew and my friend at the
time had a tire put on our car and paid with her credit card so we could make it the rest of the way in!!

2. What one thing that always speaks deeply to you, to your spirit, no matter your
mood or what else is going on in your life?

Just the thought of meditating!! If I walk into my meditation spot, my own personal Sanctuary as I
like to call it, I suddenly feel more at peace no matter how much I had on my mind before I entered.

3. How many jobs have you held in your life? How many of those were part of your chosen career field?

Seven/five (one before I even realized I would go into Business Management, lol)
And now I want to finish up my  Masters in Library Science, even though,
I may NEVER work again :(

4. Of those jobs, how many did you leave voluntarily?

All of them!! I have never been fired from a job!! I did however have to leave a great paying job
with wonderful benefits and bonuses at a moments notice due to a domestic violence situation
on my part with my ex-husband :( But my work completely understood. I would have took a transfer,
but I was too scared to leave my house, I was in hiding for awhile with my kids in a new town where
they had relocated me to!!

5. How did you discover Saturday 9? How long have you played?
 (Thank you for joining in!)

I discovered Saturday 9 thanks to 'Mom's Place' It's a brand new blog that I found last night
when I couldn't sleep...and she has all the meme's she plays along with each week listed on her
side wall...Very cool!!!

Photobucket
Found here.

This is my very first week!! I'm always interested in things like these. I like to read the others'

blogs and responses, not only do I get to know the person a little bit, but I often find some great
new blogs!! Thank you for hosting :)

6. What's the worst beverage you've ever tasted?

Oh, Egg Nog, by far!!! *gagging and shivering with convulsions just at the thought."

7. Is there anything in life you are "certain" about? Firm in your beliefs?
 Strong in your convictions?

Absolutely!!!   K.A.R.M.A all the way!!

"Every action, every thought has a result. There is no such thing as an action or thought without a result."

"Every action and every thought is weighed on the scales of eternal justice."

Ok, Ok...enough of that...I guess it's safe to say, I'm pretty firm in my beliefs, lol ;P

8. How do you come up with the title of your blog's posts?

I try to make them relate to what I wrote about, but I also try to make them intriguing to the
reader. I find that asking a question is quire often a good one :)

9. Would you consider yourself a good cook?

Not bad, just not really great!! I mean the kiddos don't even turn down what I make or anything
like that, so it can't be that bad :) I mean if I try a new recipe and I follow the directions, it almost always turns out, it's just that I almost NEVER try new recipes....meaning I pretty much make the same
fifteen or twenty boring meals over and over and over and...do you see the repetitiveness yet???

Ok, so all in all that was cool!!

Maybe you learned something new about me,
maybe you really could care less???

  1. Steph I have to completely agree with you on the eggnog. That stuff is the worst liquid I've ever put in my mouth. Even thinking about it makes me gag. Gross. Great answers to the questions.

  7. If you write a book about that trip to Massachusetts, you could make some good money. WTH? Talk about Murphy's Law...But that good samaritan was awesome. More people should be so helpful and generous.

  10. I'm sorry about the domestic violence. I like that you braved it all and I'm glad you're safe now. I have a question- why do you have so many appointments every week? Are in recovering from something? Sorry if I'm being nosy. Big hugs. Have a happy day! Oh... and cheers for the stranger who helped! :)

  11. How funny, at 4:30 when I was writing my response, only Barb had responded, and then I hit post...and theres...two more :)

@Kate and The Writing Goddess, note that you two were only one minute ahead of me :)

@Lynne, Thanks for stopping by, and..following:)

    @Genny, Cheers!!

@ Mrs. Hyde, You know I have SO MANY stories I could write books about, in fact I have thought about it many times..perhaps I should do a little more than just think about it, it certainly can't hurt to try.

@Becca, Karen, & FJ, a big thanks to all of you.

@My Big Secret, Well lets see, 3x/wk I go to PT, MT and Traction, all at the same place. 2x/wk I go to counseling (that's most weeks if I can fit it in) I have a Kinesiologist and Rheumotologist (spelling??) that I see. The Kin. is once every other week. Rheum. is every week, and then my regular Dr. is luckily usually only once a month. And that's not counting whatever other weird things they decide they want to make appointments for.
Here is a previous post where I listed some or most of my ailments...
